Late check in after 9:30PM?
Arrivals after 9:30 PM up until 10:30 PM are subject to a late check-in policy that includes a fee of $20 + tax, payable to the staff member who stays late. Arrivals from 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM will incur a $40 + tax fee, again to the staff person who remains on duty for you.

Uber, Lyft and taxi are available at Kailua Kona airport to Pineapple Park Kona Hostel. The Hawai'i County Bus called Hele-on passes by our front door.

Check-in Requirements
Pineapple Park is a traveler's hostel. Guests must present a valid form of ID and proof of arrival to the island and departure from the island. If you do not have proof of onward travel from the island you may not stay.
Cancellation Policy
We have a strict cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel any booking you'll be charged for the first night of your reservation, plus taxes/fees(this includes no shows). Some dates the entire reservation is non-refundable(see below).
Group Cancellation Policy
Group bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. In the case of cancellation, we require 30 days notice for remainder of the group bookings. Please contact us for planning a group.
Special Cancellation Policy
For reservations during busy seasons like Ironman World Championship, Thanksgiving week, Christmas and New Year week, all reservations are not refundable. Private rooms are subject to a 3 night minimum from October 1-14 for the Ironman World Championship event, held October 10, 2026.
Additional Fees
Single night cleaning fee - $9.50 for dormitory and $23.75 for private rooms. Luggage storage - $23.75 for a half day after checkout. Late check-in - $23.75 after 9:30pm until 10:30. Please text (808) 989-9959 to inform us of a late check-in, to verify staff availability.
Age restriction
We accept guests 18-65 years of age. We do not allow children .
